Hello, your service is very well suited for both my mother and the whole family. Monitoring that you personally do with your Care attendants, with services offered by the CLSC and with us is much appreciated. Your personalized support (IGA orders, your presence during assessments, etc.) is extremely valuable. Care attendants are very understanding and professional.
Thank you again,
Hanna
Thank you very much for your dedication, your work is greatly appreciated! My mother is delighted. Monique.
Living with a person with disability is really demanding and difficult. For primary caregivers, it is a freedom which is really diminished. I’ll take my situation as an example so you can better understand the impact of living with a person with disability. My name is Nicolas, I’m 20 years old and I live with Muscular Dystrophy. I travel by motorized wheelchair and I cannot do anything alone. The only things that I do alone and well are: thinking and talking. At least there is that! So I need help to prepare my meal, to go to the toilet every three hours, to get up, to go to bed, to get my shower and to do my activities. With all that, I cannot stay alone for more than three hours.
Imagine you have a day job to do and the first thing you do is to wake-up your adult son, to help him to get dressed, to prepare his lunch; so he could go to work or go to school. This is not over ... on his return, he needs someone to welcome him; and the schedule is not necessarily the same every day. During the evening, you must take him to the toilet, help him to eat, to get shower and to sleep. During Weekends, you have to plan your day according to all the needs of your 20 year old son! In addition to household chores, it is a real headache!. The hardest thing is that it is in everyday life. Doing it every day and knowing that it will be like that still for a long time. Over time, you finally forget yourself and your couple, and the relationship between the primary caregiver and the person in need for help becomes increasingly difficult.
To improve our quality of life, we turned to In Home Care Group. A company that employs, among others professional caregivers to help families like mine. Since then, my parents found some energy. They can go out more often. For me also, the arrival of my caregiver changed my life. Since then, I’m more independent and I do not always need my parents. For those who find themselves in this situation, I recommend to turn to In Home Care Group. Nicolas.
During hospitalization in long-term care of my mother who has reached the final stages of Alzheimer’s disease, our family contacted In Home Care Group in order to find help and respite . Although my mother was receiving hospital care, we felt that it was still necessary to provide more support to ensure her well-being and preserve her dignity. From the first personal contact with In Home Care Group, I felt the deep desire to know my mother and identify her needs. Also very attentive to the needs of the family and after meeting my mother, In Home Care Group has assigned us the employee who satisfied perfectly our expectations and requirements.
I have peace of mind because I know that she cares for my mother’s well-being, both physical and emotional, with compassion and dignity. The communication between us is excellent.
I thank In Home Care Group from the heart for the help and support that make this difficult time a little softer to live. Sylvie.
There comes a time when the family received assistance runs out. Nieces and nephews have grown, grandparents have aged and siblings have other occupations. The primary caregiver is alone for all tasks. We were attained this stage of our lives when we met In Home Care Group. From our first meeting, the trust was established. In Home Care Group attention to our needs and professionalism left no doubt. At the second meeting, a detailed personalized Care plan satisfying all our specific needs has been presented by In Home Care Group. They suggested us the Caregiver that met our needs, and those of our son in addition to meeting our personalities and our way of life.
Since that day, our lives changed. We have a good relationship with our son, rather than being out of breath to respond to his needs. In Home Care Group is always following up to ensure that home care services are still meeting our evolving needs. We feel very well supported and not left to ourselves.
Professionalism, empathy, quality of service, monitoring and support at all times, what more you can expect ... THANK YOU!
